And here we are with the third and final part of our look at the Spotlight Collection pieces from WDCC released so fair. The idea for the “Quintessentially Disney characters in the Spotlight” came from WDCC general manager David Nicklin who relized that the most popular Disney character should always be available in the collection, at an affordable price, even if particular scenes with those characters go out of production.

The series was started in 2004 with a limited edition piece of Donald Duck as sort of a test. The response from people was really good and it ecouraged Enesco and Disney to go ahead. Mickey, Goofy and Minnie followed in 2005 while Pluto joined tha gang in 2006. The latest Spotlight piece released this January 2009 is Daisy Duck, completing the series of “Fab Six” characters.
