In the next few days we will be showing a collection of vintage Disney lobby theatre posters. They all come from Italy and are from the 80’s and 90’s.
The set of four posters below is from the original Italian release of the Beauty and the Beast from 1992. While the film was released in the US in late 1991 it only reached Italy the following Christmas season as apparently at the time it took more time for Disney to put together international dubbed versions of their movies. It was only with The Lion King, in 1994, that the Disney film began being released in Italy simultaneously with the US premiere.

"La Bella e la Bestia" was also the last film being distributed in Italy by Warner Bros, the following year Aladdin was distributed by the new Buena Vista International studio.
