Disney has announced the 2009 Disney Legend award winners. And the winners are:

TONY ANSELMO, the voice of Donald Duck;
ESTELLE GETTY, BEATRICE ARTHUR, BETTY WHITE, and RUE McCLANAHAN, stars of The Golden Girls

BILL FARMER, the voice of Goofy
HARRY ARCHINAL, former president of Buena Vista International; beloved actresses

DON IWERKS, who created revolutionary film systems used in movies like Mary Poppins and in Disney theme park attractions;
LEOTA TOOMBS THOMAS, Imagineer, world-famous as the Haunted Mansions disembodied Madame Leota;

ROBIN WILLIAMS, voice of the Genie in Aladdin and star this fall in Old Dogs from Walt Disney Pictures.

The awards will be presented during a ceremony at the D23 Expo this September.
