Disney Traditions Jim Shore – It’s A Small World Collection

The thing we like the most of the Jim Shore Disney Traditions line by Enesco is that it’s a wide cauldron that contains depictions of characters that range from the usual Mickey and Minnie giftware poses, widely available everywhere, to the more rarely seen characters from Disney films of the 70’s like Pete’s Dragon, The Rescuers or Robin Hood.

Some of these sets are also quite hard to get as they are not usually available worldwide or they are more limited in quantities produced.

Today we are giving a glance to the collection that Jim Shore has devoted to one of the most loved park rides ever: It’s A Small World.

As everyone knows the ride features animatronic children and animals, dressed up in traditional costumes from cultures around the world, singing the notorius song about unity and peace, with the lovely design by artist Mary Blair, who was the art director on many animated films like Alice In Wonderland, Cinderella and Peter Pan.

This is the second collecting line inspired by this park ride, after the precious releases from the now defunct Walt Disney Classic Collection (WDCC) by Disney/Enesco. And this time the price tag is more affordable too!

A first batch of releases in June 2016 included the following figurines and a Musical Displayer playing 30 seconds of the song:

Small World Mexico – 4055421

Small World Japan – 4055422

Small World France – 4055423

Small World Britain – 4055424

Small World USA – 4055425

Small World Holland – 4055426

Small World Musical Displayer – 4055427

A second batch of releases in January 2017 included;

Small World Italy – 4057958

Small World Switzerland – 4057959

Small World India – 4057960

Will be there more releases from this series? we highly hope so! in the mean time here’s a photo of our own display of these figurines from our collection.

Disney Showcase Couture De Force: Belle

A fifth Belle in the Disney Showcase Couture De Force figurine collection is to be released by Enesco this November. After Belle with Yellow Dress, Belle in Wedding Dress, Masquerade Belle and Christmas Belle, now it’s time for the Beauty and the Beast heroine to be portraied as a reinvented Peasant Belle.
Her simple Blue dress with white apron has been embellished and ready for the catwalk!

Disney Showcase Couture De Force: Jafar and Aladdin

Two more new characters are to be released this November as part of the Disney Showcase Couture De Force figurine collection, the Enesco series reinventing Classic Disney characters as if they are ready to hit the runaway to present their amazingly rivisited costumes.

Coming straight from Agrabah are the evil Jafar and Aladdin as Prince Ali. They can be added to the already released Jasmine in Blue Dress or her new Red Dress variant that apparently is the series’ first limited edition.

Disney Showcase Couture De Force: Esmeralda

Also coming from the Disney Showcase Couture De Force figurine collection this Fall is Esmeralda from The Hunchback Of Notredame. In this series, started a few years ago by Enesco aiming to win the hearts of collectors of the defunct WDCC series but with more accessible price tags, Classic Disney characters are being reinvented as if they are ready to hit the runaway to present their amazingly rivisited costumes.

The sultry Gipsy Princess dancing in her reinvented sexy red dress is bound to be released in early November 2016. Check the images below for a look.
