Award-winning actress Natasha Richardson, a member of Britain’s Redgrave acting dynasty, died on Wednesday at age 45 after a suffering a severe brain injury in a skiing accident in Canada earlier this week. Richardson had been hospitalized in New York since Tuesday, surrounded by her husband, actor Liam Neeson, her two sons and members of her immediate family including her mother, actress Vanessa Redgrave.
Natasha Richardson will be remembered by Disney fans for her portrayal of the classy mother in the 1998 remake of Disney’s The Parent Trap, starring a young Lindsay Lohan.


On the evening of Richardson’s death Lohan offered condolences, expressing her mourning upon losing the late actress: "She was a wonderful woman and actress who always treated me like I was her own. I didn’t see much of her over the years but I will miss her. My heart goes out to her family. This is a tragic loss", Lindsay stated.

Lindsay Lohan was 12 years old when she starred as twins Hallie Parker/Annie James in "The Parent Trap," the movie that brought her to international stardom. The film teamed her up with Natasha Richardson, who starred as Elizabeth James.
