The "midquel" of Beauty and The Beast known as The Enchanted Christmas is coming back on Blu-ray for the first time along with the other Belle adventure titled Belle's Magical World. Both films will be combo packed (like Fantasia and the upcoming September release of The Fox and The Hound).

It has been announced that the next Diamond Blu Ray edition will be Lady and the Tramp out in spring 2012. Also coming up are the regular Blu Ray releases of both the Fox and the Hound movies as a double release ala fantasia this September 2011.

Personally we really prefer the version with the huge Hag offering her poisoned apple, but only time will tell which artowork we will get when we purchase the Blu Ray this coming October.

Disney has also instore two more editions of the film on Blu Ray. One is aimed at collectors with book + blu ray in a book-like case, the other is aimed at children and it includes small plushes of all the seven dwarfs.

Pinocchio's 70th anniversary platinum edition will reach stores in early March 2009 and it's the second Disney animated Classic to be released on the new digital format after Sleeping Beauty (October 2008).

Fittingly the one that started it all for Walt Disney, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first feature length animated film ever made, will be the title that will mark a new era in home entertainment around the world, launching Disney’s worldwide BD-Live Network, a revolutionary technological breakthrough in home entertainment that will connect family and friends, allowing unprecedented interactivity and ease, from anywhere in the world.

Disney’s BD-Live Network has been initially launched in the U.S. only, with the first Platinum Edition Blu-ray release, Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition, available since October 7, 2008.
