Art: The Dark Side Of Mickey
Disneylicious
Disney Interactive Studios will be exclusively releasing for the Wii in fall 2010 a new game titled With Disney's Epic Mickey. Popular game designer Warren Spector will finally show us that Mickey has a darker side of Mickey Mouse, who, along with some forgotten Disney character, lives in a world created by Fantasia's sourcerer Yen Sid (Disney backwards).

Mickey will have to deal with the wrath of Osvald the rabbit, the first original Disney character, who ended up being long forgotten and wants his popularity back.

Art: It's all about me!
Disneylicious
Our dear friend and team member David Kawena has just released a new illustration from his Disney Princes series. This time it's Kuzco the Incaic royalty from The Emperor's New Groove movie.

"It was not an easy task to accomplish Kuzco", David says. "He's not the usual handsome kind of guy but he's got one thing that always works - he is so full of himself, the perfect material for a Disney Hero Model!" he adds.

On the technical side David explains: "I wanted to keep it simple as possible, heaving some more Maya/Inca elements into the character, but not too much. I really enjoyed the fact I could play with a slightly wider range of colours with this one, coming from the golds and cyans of his accessories - it was really fun creating these golden textures!"

Art: The Block28 Project
Disneylicious
The idea for BLOC28 started about 3 years ago when people at Disney thought it would be interesting to work with artists experienced in non-traditional media like murals, graffiti, and street art. It started as just a few graphics, but it was soon developed into its own program. There are lots of artists out there that were inspired by Disney characters as kids, so we wanted to see how Mickey could be reinterpreted.
